Retreat
Give yourself the gift of silence, a break from stress and distractions. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike. Please join us for this half day retreat. The format will be a series of short talks, mixed with seated and walking meditation. The majority of the time will be held in noble silence
Finding our inner calm and peace can be difficult in a world full of noisy distractions. Participating in a silent retreat allows us to take the time and make space to hear our own thoughts, gain clarity and understanding, and deepen our relationships with ourselves and others. We are then invited to carry the benefits of silent retreats into our everyday lives.

Mindful Relationship with Food
Mindful eating means bringing our awareness to the food on our plate and in our mouth: paying full attention to the sensations of eating in the present moment. It can transform our relationship with food and is a great way to bring mindfulness into our daily life.
Books:
Savor: Mindful Eating, Mindful Life by Thich Nhat Hanh and Dr. Lillian Cheung
Savor Every Bite by Lynn Rossy
How to Eat by Thich Nhat Hanh
Quote from the book “How to Eat”: The Joy of eating: “Eating should be very joyful. When I pick up my food with my chopsticks, with my spoon or fork, or with my hands, I take time to look at it for a moment before I put it in my mouth. If I am really present, I will recognise the food right away, whether it is an apple, a radish, or a piece of potato. I smile to it, put it in my mouth, and chew with complete awareness of what I am eating. I chew my food in such a way that life, joy, solidity, and no fear become possible. After eating, I feel nourished, not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.”
